About

Horror, fantasy and ducks.

Hi! Thank you for stumbling across my website. I’m Natalie Duckworth, a fiction writer with dreams of one day seeing my stories become published work. I love all types of stories, but horror and fantasy capture my heart the most.

Who am I?

I am a dyslexic, ADHD, 26 years old writer who is at the start of my writing journey. Living in the UK, I enjoy spending my time reading, writing, playing video and board games, TTRPGs and watching indie horror games on YouTube. She/her pronouns.

From a young age I have always adored creating characters and stories, and spent a lot of time lost in my own fictional worlds, but I never had the ability to sit in front of a screen and release those ideas into physical words. It was when I studied Creative Writing at Bath Spa University when I realised the importance of writing to me and how hard I had to work to become a writer. After being diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD, and receiving help from the wonderful staff provided by the uni, I was able to graduate with a First.

I want to carry on that grand success further, and hopefully be able to hold my own completed book in my hands one day.

What will you find here?

I want to create a positive space where I can showcase snippets of my writing, as well as any artwork or ideas that I feel are worthy of being freed from my chaotic 'planning’ folders. Additionally, I want to document my writing journey and praise the books I've read along the way.

Please enjoy my short stories and snippets from my novels for free.

I do not use or condone the use of AI in my writing or artwork. Any pictures or artwork used either come from Squarespace’s image library or from real artists.

Social Media…?

I have tried creating social media accounts, but I realised the presence of those sites were too damaging to prove useful to me at my current stage. The distraction of endless videos and posts is something I want to avoid, instead filling my spare time with writing, reading and keeping this website up to date. Right now, I have no plans on having public social media.
